Phunware has been proactively working on the Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) readiness since mid-2017. We’ve always taken great pride in handling our customer data in a secure and professional manner. We continue to evolve our privacy practices to comply with applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which becomes effective on May 25, 2018. Phunware has partnered with experienced Privacy professionals to ensure we have the requisite guidance and expertise in enhancing our operations in preparation for GDPR compliance. In compliance with Article 30, Phunware keeps records of personal data from collection to disposal. We’re also completing a comprehensive data inventory to ensure we can efficiently respond to data subject requests.
We are working to harden our existing policies and procedures to include GDPR-related priorities for running our business.
Phunware is evaluating and enhancing our internal policies and procedures to help ensure we respond appropriately to data subject requests related to their personal data.
We are working to ensure all third-party relationships adequately protect customer data.
We are conducting compliance program planning and support, including employee training specific to privacy awareness and enforcement.
We are developing a comprehensive data breach incident response program.
